Our first organic blend brings together two coffees that are deeply connected to a love of nature and to Blommers' history.

Honduras - Ceiba (Natural)

Ceiba from Honduras is a coffee we have worked with for many years. The coffee is grown organically in the mountains of Marcala, in close connection with its natural surroundings. The name refers to the Ceiba tree, a sacred tree in Central America that is deeply connected to the local landscape and culture. The farmers connected to this project receive ongoing training in soil health, sensory analysis and organic farming. Part of each sale supports local education.

This natural coffee brings dark fruit sweetness and a lively character to our Bio Blend.

Mexico - Finca Irlanda (Washed)

Finca Irlanda from Mexico is where another part of our story begins. This biodynamic farm has been an important inspiration for Blommers from the very beginning. Coffee is grown in harmony with the surrounding forest, with biodiversity and healthy soils at the heart of the farm. Finca Irlanda operates without synthetic pesticides. Natural methods are used to help control pests, including native ants.

This washed coffee brings rich chocolate sweetness, nuttiness and a round, comforting body.

Flavours

 In the cup, the dark fruit sweetness of Ceiba meets the rich chocolate character of Finca Irlanda. Expect flavours of dark berries, chocolate and pecan, with a smooth body and a gentle, balanced sweetness. The natural Honduran coffee brings fruit and liveliness, while the washed Mexican coffee adds depth, structure and a comforting finish.
