You can easily manage your subscription through our portal. Pause at any time or choose your own next delivery date. Subscriptions are currently only whole beans and available in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Espresso No.2

In our approach to creating blends, we start with a particular flavour profile we want to create. Once this flavour profile has been defined the design process starts, and we start sourcing coffees from reliable partners. Next, we start cupping a large number of coffees to select those which have the characteristics we are looking for.

For our Espresso No.2 we wanted to create a consistent blend, which is low in acidity and has a chocolaty flavour profile, while remaining sweet and complex. Therefore, we searched for components with the same physical properties, such as density, bean size and moisture content. As a result, we have selected two coffees from Brazil: a Natural processed coffee and a Pulped Natural processed coffee.

Consistency

In order to further increase the consistency, the blend components are mixed beforehand and roasted together in our roastery. This process increases the uniformity and ensures even extraction shot after shot.

The Natural processed coffee is part of the famous and nature friendly FAF Project, which is initiated by the Groce family. It has dark chocolate flavours and a sweet finish. The Pulped Natural processed coffee is produced by various producers and gives this blend its strength and structure. Together they create a perfectly balanced espresso, which is approachable while remaining complex. It is designed for those who are setting their first steps into Specialty Coffee.

Espresso No.2 is our take on a classic espresso and highly suitable for fully automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines.
