A truly outstanding Colombian coffee grown by Rogelio Espinosa. It has all the qualities you can expect from a washed geisha, yet imbued with the vibrancy and sweetness of a funky natural.
Straight from the famous Huila region in Colombia, Rogelio and Leidy Johanna Espinosa produce outstanding and exclusive coffees on their farm La Bonita. Since they bought the farm, they have been invested in growing and processing the two high performing varieties Java and Geisha.
Hired pickers selectively handpick ripe, red cherries and deliver them to their on-site wet mill. After that, a second picking takes place, which results in fewer than 1% of unripe cherries. Once selected, the cherries are spread out in a single layer on raised beds to dry in the sun.
The combination of this exclusive variety, perfect selection and careful processing made this coffee incredibly delicious! You can expect a very unique flavour profile which is very floral and aromatic. It starts with citrus and cools towards camomile and matcha tea.
