This coffee comes from the small family farm, El Recreo. It’s situated in the town of Andes Altos at an altitude of 1700 m. José Espinoza runs this farm together with his wife, son and 4 permanent employees.
Each cherry is selectively hand picked from the Castillo, Caturra and Geisha varieties. After picking the light beans (Floaters) and the dense beans are separated in a waterbath and then, before drying, anaerobic fermented in bags.
We love this coffee for its unique mouthfeel, which is very rich and creamy. The aroma and flavour is amazingly tropical and you will have a funky, balanced and sweet taste experience. Our roast is focussed on balance and richness, sweetness and funk will follow since this coffee is packed full of it.
