Costa Rica - Saints (Washed)
A full bodied espresso with orangy fruitiness and a cacao finish.
Producer, Region and Processing
The coffee is sourced and processed by our beloved producer Alejo Castro Kahle from the Volcan Azul Farm. Alejo has exceptional skills processing coffee and has one of the best processings stations in the area. Those exceptional skills lift this coffee up to a higher level!
It’s a mixture of the cherries from small farmers out of the breathtaking high mountains of the Tarazzú region in the southern Pacific area of Costa Rica. The Tarrazú climate is characterized by two well-defined seasons; a rainy season (May through November) and a dry season (December through April). This encourages uniform coffee blossoming. The fertile, volcanic soil is perfect for agriculture and smallholders grow bananas, avocados, citrus fruits and of course coffee.
Flavour
You can expect a soft and creamy cup with vibrant acidity which reminds us of clementines and long and lingering caramel and chocolate-like finish.
