Naive - Patiburrú Colombia 68% (Nano Lot) Chocolate bar
This time we present you something different. This is not a coffee, but a super good specialty chocolate bar.
Together with chocoladeverkopers.nl we did a cupping session with a wide variety of chocolate bars alongside. The combination of coffee and chocolate can create such a beautiful flavour mariage! We picked such an amazing chocolate bar for you!
In a little town on the Eastern side of Lithuania, Chocolate Naive makes their bean to bar chocolate. Their production cycle starts with a dried cacao bean which is selected from exceptional cacao farms. Then the cacao beans are roasted with the utmost precision like we do in our roastery. The goal is to reveal the most beautiful character of the cacao bean.
This particular bean is made from a cacao which was recently discovered during an expedition in the Magdalena Medio Antioqueno region in Colombia. The team was attracted right away by the unique flavour of the flesh, which taste like purple flowers, apple and overripe banana. The cacao bean is named after the mountain Patiburtú of Patiburro.
The chocolate bar itself is simply the best we ever tasted! It’s light in color and because of its smooth and delicate mouthfeel almost like a milk chocolate. We found flavours like hazelnut, dried banana, butter and passionfruit.
For the perfect taste experience you take a small bite, chew a little and let it melt in your mouth. To open up all the flavours and introduce a complete new flavour experience you take a sip of our recommended Ethiopia - Bombe during that melting phase.
