This is the third year we work with Metad’s beautiful coffee. The farm is located at the heart of the Yirgacheffe region, which is known for its high-quality coffees.
Metad works with local farmers who supply their best cherries. Metad has set up a washing station in Gedeb, at an altitude of 2000 metres, which offers advantages for bean preparation; the coffee takes longer to dry and also suffers less damage from insects. The result is a better quality coffee with a more intense flavour profile.
Both coffees come from the same smallholders, however they are processed differently. An unique opportunity to explore the impact processing has on the cup.
