The farm Sitio Bela Vista is located in Lambari, which is right in the middle of Mantiqueira mountains. Rodrigo is the 5thgeneration and manages the farm together with his father Jose and his brother, Marcio.
Rodrigo is dedicated to producing high quality coffee but is also taking care of his environment by preserving the natural forest. Last year he set up a quality lab to improve his quality control and is planning to build African-style dry beds to make the drying even better.
The carefully picked mature cherries are fermented for 72 hours before drying them on the patio. Because this fermentation takes longer than usual this process is called Extended Natural. It gives this coffee a sweet and wild character.
In our roastery we unlock this sweet and wild character. At the same time it has the smooth and round body you can expect from a Brazil.
